چکیده
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is the most common non-communicable disease in Philippines, characterized by increased blood glucose levels brought low insulin production or resistance. Chamaecostus cuspidatus a medicinal plant known for its glucose-lowering property. The controlled release of C. leaves must be achieved to maximize antidiabetic Leucaena leucocephala an endemic tree having seed as source possible co-encapsulating material drug delivery. Galactomannan, main component isolated gum, can used substitute effective moderate intended site. Thus, this study evaluates property and stability gum agent targeted delivery leaves. encapsulation process was done through extrusion method. evaluated vitro gastrointestinal simulation analysis examined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), field emission electron microscope (FE-SEM) verify surface morphology. capsules were observed fully disintegrate at fed state (pH 5.4) simulated conditions, which target fingerprint on FTIR spectra encapsulated presented indicates successful incorporation powdered inside encapsulating material. Morphological micrographs have shown that resulting fairly spherical, size approximately 3.8 mm. Ridges pores are also present their immediate disintegration hydration. Therefore, L. potential candidate suitable effective, targeted, maximum benefits.

Studies on Leucaena Leucocephala Seed Gum: Rheological Properties
The apparent viscosity (pseudoplastic viscosity) of mucilage of leucaena seed gum was calculated, based on flow curves, obtamed With multiple point viscometer. Attempts were made to correlate the various rheological properties, describIng the_ overall flow behaviOur of gum, with their concentrations. The relationship between N(exponential constant) and concentration was found to be a zero order...
متن کاملStudies on disintegrant action of Leucaena leucocephala seed gum in ibuprofen tablet and its mechanism
Leucaena (Leucaena leucocephala) seed gum (LSG) was evaluated for disintegrant action in lactose (soluble) based tablets containing ibuprofen, a relatively insoluble drug. The properties of tablets evaluated include weight uniformity, hardness, friability, disintegration time and in vitro dissolution (k, T 50 , A 30 ). LSG, at low concentration level (2% w/w), can be used as a disintegrant in t...
